What Positive Change Would You Like to Make?

  • Services

People come into therapy for all different kinds of reasons. Maybe you have been thinking about working on some long term challenges for a while. Or possibly there has been a recent change you are trying to work through. Most people find therapy helpful when they are faced with change, loss, or challenges that are having an impact on their everyday lives.

Looking for information about anxiety and depression, managing chronic pain, or any other mental health issues, therapy is a good first step. Many who come to therapy have hit their limit and are looking for positive changes in their life. Whether your concerns have a long history or are due to recent change, therapy can help. If you have tried everything and nothing seems to help or perhaps an unexpected recent event is just too much. If you feel overwhelmed, or stuck and hopeless, individual therapy or group therapy can help. With the right kind of help you can be successful, happy, self confident, have more energy, and do more of the things you want to be doing in your daily life.

    Positive Change Is Attainable!

It is my hope that I will be a good match for you in your journey for change.

Therapy however is different from many other services and I recommend that you find a therapist who is right for you. Please call or come in to see if we are a good match.

    Evidence Based Treatments

    Such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral therapy is a form of treatment in which clients are encouraged to overcome mental health issues by changing unhealthy or counter-productive thought processes, emotions, and behavior patterns. My goal is to use effective treatments to help you to live a happier, healthier, and more productive life. Ask about how evidence based treatments might help you.

  • New Client FAQ

We always strive for the best.

    What services do you provide?

We provide therapy for individuals, families, and couples, but we also provide some psychological assessment services and on occasion group therapy.

How do I get started as a new client?

Give us a call and we will help guide you in finding the best match in services for your own personal needs. The receptionist is friendly and excited to serve you. We offer a 15 minute phone consultation with Dr. Hillam if you would like to talk with him prior to coming into the office. We hope to answer your call as quickly as possible, but on occasion a return call could take anywhere from 24-48 hours. Once an appointment has been made we can make arrangements for the paperwork to be sent to you prior to your first appointment to make the process as simple as possible and to allow for more time to discuss your needs.

    Do you provide psychological testing?

If you require or were referred for a psychological evaluation, please call and ask if I can provide that service. The initial session is 45 to 50 minutes. During this session, relevant background information and areas of concern will be discussed to determine the tests to be administered. Testing fees are determined by taking into account the information discussed. Call us to ask about your specific needs and the associated fees.

    What insurance do you take?

I am a provider for many major insurance companies. I am also a Medicare and Idaho Medicaid (Optum) Provider. My office will bill your insurance company as a courtesy to you. If you have medical insurance please call your company to check your benefits prior to our first meeting, as this will help us to avoid any unnecessary difficulties. Copayments or coinsurance will be due at the time of service. Please contact my office if you have any questions regarding insurance information.

If I am not on your plan you may be able to use out-of-network benefits to receive services. By choosing to use an out-of-network provider, you could have a higher deductible or other costs, depending on the plan you have with your insurance carrier. We strongly encourage you to contact your insurance carrier directly for information about your coverage.

Please Call My Office If You Have Concerns Regarding The Cost Of Therapy Or Assessment

It is my sincere wish to provide you with the quality mental health care you expect and deserve. As you know, health care can often be an unexpected expense. I wish that receiving care did not come down to finances, but it does. My hope is that this will become one of the most beneficial investments you have made in yourself. Payment for services is an important part of any professional relationship and I do not want it to become an issue between us. If money is a concern please be open and honest so that we can address any concerns together.
